|
Water bombing choppers will join the battle against a bushfire burning out of control on Hobart's eastern shore. 17,000 Aurora customers lost power after the fire broke out on Downhams Road at Risdon Vale yesterday. Around 20 crews are back on the scene but it's no longer threatening homes. While temperatures in the capital won't reach 25 today, it's a different story up north with Launceston and Scottsdale both expected to top 30 degrees. Fire authorities are planning for next Tuesday when temperatures around the south, north and west will near the mid thirties. |
