Two motorbike-riding thugs have assaulted a Melbourne teenager in an unprovoked attack.
The 14-year-old stepped onto a nature strip and out of the way of the bikes as they approached on West Melton Drive near James Cook Drive in Melton West on Tuesday evening, police say.
One of the men stopped and asked the teen what he was doing before punching him in the face.
The boy fell and his attacker got off his bike, pulled the teen off the ground, hitting him again.
The two men rode off and the teenager went to hospital with facial injuries.
Police describe the puncher as in his mid-30s, tall, solid and with facial hair. He was riding a black dirt bike and wearing a black, white and blue Fox helmet and flouro orange goggles.
The other rider is in his 20s or 30s, thin and was riding a Pee Wee 50.
