Wilkie slams latest entitlements shock

money

There are more questions being raised about the expenses claims of government ministers.

Industry Minister Greg Hunt is being asked to explain $20,000 worth of family holidays to Queensland in which he used a resort as a "base" while conducting meetings.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton is also under fire for a $4000, 10-person dinner at a five star hotel in Washington D-C.

Tasmanian Independent Andrew Wilkie has told News 24 he'll give the Turnbull Government a chance to clean up the antics.

"We wait and see whether this is just more talk at the moment," said the Member for Denison.

"If it is just more talk, if there isn't very speedy action by the government, then I and other crossbenchers, I'm sure, will try and move regulatory reform ourselves."
