New video to highlight light rail business case

Advocates for a Hobart light rail project claim business is crying out for the $100 million development to proceed.

Ben Johnston from the Hobart Northern Suburbs Rail Action Group has launched a video, highlighting the project's importance for economic growth in the area.

Mr Johnston says yesterday's Better Cities Deal announcement sets a good precedent.

"Launceston's City Deal is a perfect example of how three tiers of government can get together and promote good projects, so Hobart should be next cab off the rank."

The Commonwealth's City Deal for Launceston delivers $280 million dollars for various projects, with the relocation of UTAS's Launceston campus as its centrepiece.
