We’ve all needed a late night ice cream hit, that cheeky night out on the town (or even night on the couch) and you’ve got that end of night sweet treat hankering. So you hit up your closest store and get that soft serve goodness!
Well, some people are swearing to never touch the stuff ever again after catching an eye on the inside of the soft serve machine. A video from news outlet Inside Edition did a piece on sanitation within soft serve machines a few years ago after an image of the inside of a soft serve machine went viral online. They then conducted their own research and discovered that many machines were failing to meet their sanitation needs and were producing soft serve with high levels of bacteria. This video has started making the rounds online again and has many people rethinking their late night sweet treat needs now. However, it should be noted this video was released 7 years ago and many institutions recognised the problem and even made public statements saying they will be addressing these concerns.
