I’m a man who will fight for honour. I’ll be the hero you’re dreaming of. We’ll live forever, knowing together that we did it all for the glory of radio.
Born from an egg on a mountain top in Burnie, Dan grew up listening to the sounds of Tasmanian devils under his house fighting and decided that a career in growling on the wireless would be a more appropriate ultimatum other than trying to scrape for rats under the veranda with his animal brothers and sisters.
Dan enjoys sitting around in his underpants playing Mariokart on the Nintendo 64 and watching Highlander on Betamax. His career consists of being a D grade Weird Al Yankovic, boasting over 12 million hits on the interwebs. He has made 3 friends and a Farmville request from the dizzying heights of parody songmaking.
His favourite foods are Jelly Slice, Clix and Dip and Tacos and Burritos. He is Jalapeno Business, and could write an essay about it, esse.
A father, a husband, a penny farthing enthusiast and a former deal or no deal winner, Dan loves Launceston like he loves Joshua Kadison: The Most.
Born at a young age, Candice has a dream of owning a helicopter and would chat to anyone for hours about travelling. Once she paid $9 AUS for a horrible coffee in Sri Lanka and claims she'll never recover.
Candice is a brunch enthusiast who would eat dumplings all day everyday, she also loves outdoor adventures. When not at work you'll find Candice 'trying' to SUP at the beach, trekking some amazing walks around Tas or chilling at a nice pub with a wine. You'll probably also find her singing. As a serial karaoke enabler, Candice feels responsible for the resurgence of Daryl Braithwaite's 'The Horses'. (Yes it re-surged).
Born in NSW Candice has tried many things in life including; Small Business, Civil Engineering, even Cake Whispering, but found her love of radio in 2010 and has not looked back. Candice believes you can do anything if you put your mind to it and her favourite quote: Change is the only constant.
You can hang out with Candice weekdays from 6-9am and get to know her more at thetravellingwriter on Instagram.
