International July visitation heavily down

Tasmania still has a fair way to go to restore its international visitation numbers.

New ABS data for July shows there were just 2,660 short term visitor arrivals in the state.

Vastly more than the same month last year with its all but non existent international travel, but less than half the 5670 for July 2019 prior to the pandemic.

New Zealand accounted for most of our overseas arrivals in the July just gone, followed by Singapore and the UK….China is languishing at 9 in the top 10.
