Community Play Date
Hope Discovery Family Centre is celebrating the power of play to bring people together, as we host a Community Play Date for the children and families of Launceston, in collaboration with our valued partners.
The United Nations International Day of Play recognises every child’s right to play and calls on governments, businesses, schools and families to prioritise play in children’s lives.
“Play… helps children develop the cognitive, physical, creative, social and emotional skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”*
Percy, the B4 Early Years Coalition mascot, will join the fun – welcoming children and carers from across our community, and helping them engage with local early years partners. Local services including Playgroup Tasmania, St Lukes, Epilepsy Tasmania and Windsor Allied Health will be bringing bubbles, giant games, sensory experiences, LEGO, and loads of playful fun.
