“The Lighthouse: A Beacon of Hope in St Helens”

The Lighthouse, a charity based in St Helens, has been a beacon of hope for the community since its inception 17 months ago. Every Wednesday, from 11 AM to 1 PM, at the Anglican Church on 56 Cecilia Street, The Lighthouse opens its doors to provide a warm meal, clothing, bedding, and a safe space for anyone in need. Thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals and businesses in the Break O’Day community, the dedicated team of 12 compassionate volunteers offers free BBQ, tea, coffee, pastries, and rolls, along with essentials like tents, sleeping bags, toiletries, fresh vegetables, and pantry items. Whether it’s a hug, a conversation, or a helping hand, The Lighthouse is here to serve the lonely, the hungry, the cold, and the homeless.
