March 11, 2024 8:52 am in by

Tasmanian furniture and electrical retailer Begents has been bought out by national company the BSR Group, which operates the Betta Electrical and Home Living chain of stores.

Begents’ Devonport and Ulverstone stores will be re-branded under the Betta banner, with no change in employment at either store.

However, Begents’ Scottsdale store will be closed, following on from the closure of its Burnie store on December 20th last year.

Betta already has stores in Burnie, Hobart and George Town, which the new owner says will complement the Ulverstone and Devonport outlets.

Betta says Click and Collect on-line shopping will also be made available from its Devonport, Ulverstone, and Launceston stores in coming months.
