Australia Post has sold out of a new commemorative $1 coin featuring the Big Tassie Devil at the Trowunna Wildlife Park at Mole Creek.

The coin, which sells for $3 with a commemorative pouch was only released on Monday, but the Australia Post website now says it’s out of stock.

The Big Things series is a collaboration between Australia Post and the Royal Australian Mint, featuring 5 stamps and 10 coins.

However, the North-West Coast’s iconic Big Penguin didn’t make the top 10 list, while the big cricket wickets at Westbury and the Big Axe at the Longley Hotel were also overlooked.

Australia Post surveyed customers about what they thought were the country’s great roadside structures, which ones they were most likely to visit and which ones they wanted to visit most.

The survey revealed Aussies are most likely to visit the Big Banana and the Big Pineapple, but the Tassie Devil and the Giant Koala at Dadswell Bridge in Victoria are at the top of the must-see list.

The Mole Creek devil is one of five big things featured on both a stamp and a coin.
