Police and emergency services are on the scene of a fatal single vehicle crash on Faraday Street, Ravenswood.
The incident occurred around 3.20am when the vehicle involved left the road and collided with a power pole.
A 36-year-old male occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 36-year-old female occupant of the vehicle was transported to Launceston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Crash Investigations are looking into the cause of the crash.
Police will remain at the scene on Faraday Street, Ravenswood for some time.
Faraday Street will remain closed between Magnet Street and Faulkner Road Roundabouts.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area.
