Former Launceston Council worker pleads guilty to possessing child abuse material

A 47-year-old former Launceston and Meander Valley Council employee will face sentencing in the Supreme Court in April after he pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse material.

St Leonards man Peter Anthony Denholm has appeared in the Launceston Magistrate Court where he was directed to enter a plea after the case was previously adjourned last year.

The offence carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

He has been released on bail.
