Some impressive figures out of Launceston Airport.
Passenger numbers have taken a sharp rise and are now sitting close to 100 percent pre covid.
That’s better than all but two airports around Australia – the Gold Coast and Townsville.

Passenger numbers through Launceston Airport have reached 97 percent of pre pandemic levels.
The figures have been bolstered by airlines creating new domestic routes.
Visitors are flocking back to the state and Will Cassidy from Launceston Chamber of Commerce says it’s very exciting.
“The stimulus that the visitor economy brings to our small and medium businesses in the region is fantastic; to our hospitality providers and our larger businesses,” he said.
