He has been detained to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.

Police will allege the man’s offending occurred throughout various suburbs, including Derwent Park, Lutana, Mornington, Warrane, Bellerive, Sandy Bay, Mount Nelson and South Hobart.

The alleged offending involves the burglary of vehicles, businesses, and houses, as well as the stealing of cars.

Detective Sergeant Josh Wood said some residences and vehicles were left unlocked.

“Police would like to take the opportunity to remind members of the public to keep valuables out of sight and keep vehicles and residences locked when not in use,” he said.
