Jeremy Rockliff has announced the full list of candidates for the Liberal Party at the upcoming state election.
The premier revealed the full list of 35 candidates at an event in Launceston, describing them as “the team of the decade”.
Among them is former federal government minister Eric Abetz, former state government minister Jacquie Petrusma and Jane Howlett.
Meander Valley deputy mayor Stephanie Cameron will stand as a candidate for Lyons.
Radio and former TV identity Rob Fairs has been named as a candidate for Bass.
“I’m so proud and excited to be unveiling such a strong team here today – the strongest team we have selected for many elections in my mind,” Jeremy Rockliff said.
Labor has described the line-up as disappointing and “more evidence of a party that is out of touch and out of ideas after 10 years in government.”
“If this is the Tasmanian Liberal Party’s Team of the Decade, as Jeremy Rockliff has called it, what a truly disappointing decade it’s been,” said shadow minister Dean Winter.
“The Liberals’ northern team now looks more like Ron Burgundy’s news team than serious or competent representatives.”
