A man who tackled an 11-year-old girl to the ground as she made her way across a Brisbane overpass is still on the run.
The man approached the girl and pulled her down as she was walking along Francis Road about 3.20pm on Saturday in Lawnton, north of Brisbane.
"Passers by have started shouting at the man who has ultimately then left on foot and ran away," Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Zitny said on Sunday.
He said the girl had been walking to a friend's house but was not injured, while her attacker was seen running through a park toward a dark coloured SUV.
Queensland Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a shaved head, in his early 20s, wearing a light blue t-shirt, running shoes and black shorts.
