Tasmania is punching above its weight, having five karate athletes in the Australian team at this weekend's Oceania Cup Championship in New Zealand.
One of them is 41 year old Stuart Eaton who's contesting veteran categories.
"We've got a good bunch going away, we gel as a team and we have a lot of fun together."
Tasmania's Suzie Jones told WIN, it's an all new experience for her.
"I have absolutely no idea what to expect to be honest, first time out of Australia competing in something like this, I can't to see what it's all going to be about."
The competition runs in Auckland from tomorrow to Sunday.
