The RACT welcomes the large number of road infrastructure projects which will improve life on Tasmanian roads in this year's state budget.
The major developments are the new Bridgewater Bridge which is now fully funded and will be completed by 2024 with a $120 million dollar spend from the State Government.
RACT executive general manager Membership & Community Stacey Pennicott said she the RACT had been advocating for a new Bridgewater Bridge for a long time.
“RACT is thrilled to see the combined commitment by both Federal and State Governments to deliver a new Bridgewater Bridge by 2024,” she said.
"We're also seeing some significant investment in the north west, some in the north and also in the south.
"We're seeing some short term investments to look at traffic congestion in Hobart although we're not seeing any long term funding in the immediate future."
