Braddon to vote against candidate voters like least, study finds

Braddon issues

Voters in Braddon will be voting against the candidate they like least rather than one they support according to a new study.

The Voter Choice Project has been surveying voters on how they feel ahead of the upcoming by-election.

Researcher Raphaella Kathryn Crosby says the results have been overwhelmingly negative on both sides.

"They're saying about Brett Whiteley 'we got rid of this guy, we've already had a go at him, we don't want him again'," she said.

"With Justine Keay they're saying 'well she stuffed up, she wasn't honest about her citizenship and we're not really sure that we want a go at her again'.

"It's a really unusual by-election because they've had a chance to try out both of these candidates.
