Bad weather has forced four people to be rescued from Cradle Mountain.
Members of Western Search and Rescue rushed to the mountain about 4.30pm yesterday, to assist a group of four bushwalkers on the Overland Track in the vicinity of Kitchen Hut.
The group had raised the alarm due to inadequate clothing for the deteriorating weather conditions.
The search and rescue team walked to Kitchen Hut and reached the group at 10:50pm. They all walked out together.
Nobody suffered any injuries.
Tasmania Police says this is a timely reminder that weather in the Cradle Mountain and Central Highlands areas can change quickly and frequently. People are encouraged to take clothing and equipment that is appropriate for all weather conditions when venturing into the Cradle Mountain area.
