Three people are in custody and assisting police with their inquiries following an alleged shooting in Rokeby early this morning.
Police and paramedics raced to a property in Arden Drive at Rokeby about 5.45am.
A 29-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen and was raken to the Royal Hobart Hospital where's undergone surgery and is in a serious but stable condition.
Detectives from Bellerive CIB and Forensics Services attended the scene and a firearm, believed to have been used in the shooting, was located.
Police say the victim and the three people in custody were known to each other.
The investigation is continuing and formal charges are expected to be laid later this evening.
