A dangerous prison inmate remains on the run after fleeing Risdon Prison yesterday morning by gaining access to a minimum-security roof area and scaling a fence.
An extensive police manhunt for 38-year-old Graham John Enniss (pictured above and below), who has a distinctive "thug" neck tattoo, maintained its focus on the Geilston Bay area overnight.
Acting Commander Jason Elmer says locals should ensure homes and vehicles are secure.
"Mr Enniss is currently serving a substantial prison term for a number of incidents on the Northwest Coast a couple of years ago," he said.
"We would encourage people...not to approach Mr Enniss."
Enniss shot in the direction of police while fleeing authorities on the Northwest Coast in 2015.
And another manhunt's underway on the northwest coast after an arrestee ran out the front door of the Burnie Police station.
26-year-old Braydon William Stanley was last seen in the Brooklyn area around 5.30 pm on Monday wearing a blue T-shirt and black trackpants.
He's described as of slim build, 175 cm tall, olive skinned with various face and neck tattoos.
Police are warning he shouldn't be approached.
Sightings of either man can be reported to authorities on 131 444 or 1300 333 000.
