It was a 19 year old German man on a 12 month working visa who was killed in the car crash at New Norfolk on Sunday morning.
Investigations seem to point to excessive speed for his 2000 model Mazda 323 coming off a curve on Glenfern Road.
Inspector John Ward describes what happened.
"The driver was negotiating a right hand turn, the vehicle has slid off the road and gone over an embankment, the roof cavity of the vehicle has been crushed by a tree the vehicle has come up to rest against."
