The University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research is taking its regular public talks online.
Due to the impact of COVID-19 and not being able to gather in large groups, people are invited to join a Zoom webinar to hear about the latest blood pressure research from the Institute and how to best manage blood pressure from the comfort of your own home.
Professor James Sharman says it's crucial that other areas of health beyond COVID-19 are not neglected during the ongoing pandemic.
“High blood pressure is the number-one risk factor for cardiovascular disease and mortality worldwide. Taking our public talks online means we have the opportunity to share our research with more people and help them help themselves to manage their health.”
The webinar is designed to reach those people who may not be physically able to attend regular public talks, or who are interstate or overseas.
