Police are seeking information to help identify a person pictured on CCTV walking on Charles Street around the time of a fire incident at Launceston's Police Station earlier this month.
Authorities believe the person may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation into a Molotov cocktail thrown into the rear carpark of the Station shortly before 11pm on 12 June.
At the time, video footage was released of the offender throwing the firebomb inside the carpark.
No was injured and the fire eventually self extinguished, but police say it could have been a whole lot worse.
