There is a plea to the Australian government to help search for a missing Tasmanian.
27 year old William Mainprize was on a ship carrying livestock when it was hit by a typhoon last Wednesday near the coast of Japan.
Two survivors and one body were found from the crew of 43.
After more than a week, the Japanese Coast Guard's called off the search.
William's brother Tom is adamant he and 39 others, including another Australian and two New Zealanders, could still be alive on emergency rafts that were deployed from the ship.
Tom is imploring the Australian government and even private enterprise find a way to mount a new search.
