Windy weather warning

Tasmanians are being warned to avoid damaged trees and downed power lines as more potentially damaging winds sweep over the state on Monday.

Westerly winds averaging up to 60 kilometres an hour are forecast for the state's southern half as well as the central Highlands, with isolated gusts of up to 100 kilometres an hour.

They're forecast to ease off tomorrow morning.

It's already left around 20 premises without power at Franklin and Oyster Cove; Tasnetworks says they won't be back on the grid until Monday afternoon.

The SES is available to help with damage on 132 500.
