Police in the state's south are proceeding against five people for a massive breach of recreational scallop bag limits.
PV Cape Wickham was patrolling the White Beach area near Port Arthur on Sunday when officers came across a boat loaded down with more than 700 scallops.
The shellfish have been seized along with diving gear.
"Licenced recreational scallop divers are reminded that they are limited to catching fifty scallops per day," said Senior Constable Michael Barber.
"They can not catch scallops on behalf of another licence holder."
