Tasmania has recorded another covid linked death overnight - an elderly woman passing away at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

1,021 new cases were reported - 1,077 people released from isolation during that time.

There are 5,916 active cases across the state.

40 people are in hospital with covid - 16 are being treated specifically for their symptoms. One person is in an ICU.
