Tasmania has recorded 736 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

It's a slight drop on yesterday's figures of 822 cases and from 946 the day before.

556 people are being monitored under the [email protected] program, while two people are being cared for at Community Case Management Facilities.

56 Covid-positive people are in hospital, with 22 of those being treated specifically for Coronavirus related symptoms.

Two people are being cared for in the ICU.

Public Health is now monitoring 5,174 active cases state wide.

Vaccination rates are rising slowly, with over half of all kids aged 5-11 years old now fully vaccinated.

63.49% of children in the age group have received their first Covid jab.

Over 70% of Tasmanians 16 years and older have received their first booster.

That figure sits at over 85% for locals over 50 years old.

Tasmanians are being reminded to keep up Covid-safe behaviours like good hand hygiene, follow social distancing, test when you have symptoms, stay home when you are unwell, and wear masks where required to do so.
