A welcome drop in Tasmania's Coronavirus numbers today, with 609 new infections being recorded overnight.
The figures down from 850 new cases yesterday and 800 the day before.
29 Covid-positive people are in hospital, 11 of them being treated specifically for Covid-19 symptoms.
One person is being cared for in the ICU.
447 people are being monitored under the [email protected] program.
There are now 4,562 active Covid-19 cases statewide, with more than 171,000 Tasmanians recovering from the virus.
Vaccination rates are continuing to climb with over half of all kids aged 5-11 years old now fully vaccinated.
63.25% of children in the age group have received their first Covid jab.
Over 71% of Tasmanians 16 years and older have received their first booster.
That figure sits at more than 86% for locals over 50 years old.
Some of the last remaining Coronavirus restrictions will be released over coming weeks, Premier Jeremy Rockliff reminding us to keep up Covid-safe behaviours.
