Netflix’s smash hit Wednesday returns to our screens later this year for its second season. The show lead by current Hollywood megastar Jenna Ortega will see its return to our small screens on August 6th for Part 1 of its second season, with Part 2 coming on September 3rd.
Netflix, alongside the announcement of its release date have actually released the first 6-minutes of the opening episode. So if you’re keen for a sneak peek at what Wednesday Addams has been up to since the first season ended you can catch it below!
Co-Showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar on the subject of what season 2 has in-store for Wednesday Addams said:
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore… Nothing is what it seems in season 2… Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”
It’s also been said that the other core members of the Addams Family clan will have larger roles in the second season of the series. But it won’t be just the Addams to keep an eye out for, surprisingly Lady Gaga has been announced as a key guest star for the upcoming second season.
You can return Nevermore for Wednesday season 2 when it drops on Netflix later this year on the 6th of August.
